KOIKOI is a fresh name from the vibrant and ever-evolving Belgrade music scene that first made the rounds in the 2019 with the song on compilation by Hali Gali, a platform that brings together new generations of musicians and audience, unencumbered by genres and prejudices. The band consists of Marko Grabež, Emilija Đorđević, Ivana Miljković and Ivan Pavlović Gizmo – a bunch of creatives from various backgrounds with a simple common goal of writing exceptional indie rock / alternative pop that fills the gap between the intimacy of the underground and mainstream glamour, a space on the Balkan music scene that’s been unoccupied for far too long.

Combining best of the Slovene traditional music, carefully selected from the archives, songbooks and old vinyl records with solid rock rhythms, funky groove and enviable arranging skills it creates a unique post-folk rock style that presents the music legacy of Slovenia’s regions in an utterly new light. Fused with dynamic and invigorating electrical instruments, which caress the enchanting singing, it is transformed on the stage into a dance and sound performance that mesmerizes even the most musically pampered ears.

One of the most outstanding, critically acclaimed and stylistically chameleon Slovenian post-independence rock bands Moveknowledgement is a single set of exciting genre permutations and sound experiments. In recent years, the band has taken new genre directions, changed the role of vocals in their pieces and specifically upgraded their sound.
Their new studio album Lying Cobra was inspired by the pioneering years of the psychedelic avant-garde of the late 60s. It boasts its own retro character, which is the result of the use of technological innovations of the hippie era, such as modular synthesizers, magnetic tapes played back and out of phase, phaser, echo, reverb and delay effects, and oriental instruments.

Pantaloons is a community of three »clumsy fellows« as they like to call themselves. Luka Belič (saxophone), Aljaž Markežič (sousaphone), and David Nik Lipovac (drums) first emerged as part of the Chilli Brass Band in 2016 where they started experimenting with musical melodies and rhythms in a jam session form. After a few compositions, they placed their unique music style on the map of electronic dance music with a hint of jazz, funk, breakbeat, dubstep, and more. As Radio Študent's choice for the concert tour Klubski Maraton in 2019, Pantaloons trio got the chance to shake up the Slovenian music scene.

Počeni Škafi is an illegitimate child of New Orleans street music and French chanson, who grew up on the streets of Ljubljana without parental supervision. Although they have long devoted themselves mainly to original music with an emphasis on witty and moving texts in Slovenian, they still remain loyal to the New Orleans way of making music, which Wynton Marsalis says embodies the most comprehensive democratic process in music.

Club Marathon (Klubski Maraton) is a project run by Radio Student in which each year six artists or bands are chosen to make a tour throughout Slovenia and its clubs. The project has been running since 2001, and is meant as a boost to the Slovenian alternative music scene, aiming to help the bands get the needed stage mileage and audience recognition. At Kamfest you will be able to hear perform BibliBan and Masaž.

Wiyaala, which means »the doer« in her local Sissala dialect, is an independent musician entertainer from Funsi in the Upper West Region of Ghana. With her dancing, polyglot and engaged songs, Wiyaala sings an Africa that is both modern and rural. Wiyaala's music references West African Folk traditions and contemporary Afro-Pop, sometimes evoking comparisons with African divas Mariam Makeeba, Brenda Fassie and Angelique Kidjo.

freekind. are writing a new chapter of regional neo-soul, which noticeably stands out from the average and in which listeners can easily prick their ears. The soulful group is composed of Croatian pianist and vocalist Sara Ester Gredelj and Slovenian drummer Nina Korošak-Serčič. Their songs carry a strong message of love and hope, complemented by R&B and jazz grooves.

Slovenian folksters, as they were creatively named by the music editors of RTVSLO, gathered in the spring of 2022 in a renewed line-up. After a successful June concert in Švicarija in Ljubljana, they are now preparing an indie folk evening in Kamnik, bringing with them the fresh wind of contemporary Slovenian music production.

The jazz quartet operating in Rotterdam is the project of Teja Poljanšek. Drawing inspiration from modern jazz, as well as pop, folk and singer-songwriter music, the musicians experiment with more complex rhythmic and harmonic elements and find ways to integrate this into a natural and organic sound. With a great emphasis on the lyrics and message of the songs, all members of the group play an equal role, and the dynamic compositions and interesting interpretation contribute to the group's sincerity and freshness.

Prodigious, prolific and instinctively rebellious, Jørgen Munkeby is the unique creative force behind Norway’s legendary jazz-metal warriors Shining. A cacophonous but irresistible blend of wonky riffs, shrieking sax and deeply progressive sonic ideas, it firmly established Munkeby’s crew as a major force in the metal world, while drawing in fans from all manner of obscure and perverse cultural enclaves. They will perform their epoch-shattering Blackjazz album in full at this year's festival Kamfest.

The story revolves around 14 year old Canadian Tobi, who comes to Slovenia on summer holidays with his mother Kristina, who is about to have an important art exhibition in her hometown. Tobi is not excited to spend a summer away from his father and his friends. The situation gets even worse when a local gang starts to bully him because of his skin color. The only positive thing around is a free spirited girl named Tjaša, who leads Tobi to an unusual encounter with retired, blind astronomer Herman.

The versatile Ljubljana artist Mark Jacob Cavazza aka Vazz has been in musical waters since early childhood, when he discovered his passion for rap through writing poetry. With the rapid and high-quality development of music production and superb songwriting, Vazz is undoubtedly one of the leading faces of the new rapper generation. To top it off, his live performance is spiced up with the refreshing energy of bassist Peter Smrdel and drummer Žiga Smrdel.

Young painter Eva smokes, drinks, parties, occasionally takes drugs and can't find inspiration for painting. She finds herself in a strange relationship with her mentor, her best friend is moving to Berlin, she doesn't get paid for working in a bookstore, and to top it all off, her period is already three months late. She realizes that she needs to change his lifestyle and turns to a web browser for help.

Weirdness and alienation are stigmas that SBO acquired as the avant-garde of Ljubljana's trap youth from the very beginning. Their uncompromising appearance and insensitive expressiveness resonated as bass punk for the internet generation. Under the pseudonym SBO hides the original name of the band – DEATH OF GOD AND CHILD – which resonated on our scene together with the global popularization of trap.

Nemeček presents us with a hypnotic and noisy rock interpretation of folk music with an intense and atmospheric character. With the help of Slavonian tambourines and modern magic, the band builds monumental Balkan walls of sound that remind of the old times, but at the same time hint at the future. Last year, the guys released the album Prokletije, a psychedelic dedication to the cultural heritage of this part of Europe through a noise filter.

With its more than 174-year band tradition, Mestna godba Kamnik shapes the musical culture in Kamnik. In fact, we can't imagine major and minor events in our municipality, where we wouldn't hear the sounds of their instruments. In their ranks, they unite around 40 members of all ages, who have one thing in common – a love for music, socializing and creating music together.

Lieve is the long-awaited second album from British electronic music producer Holy Other. Using the acoustics of the Bidston Observatory on the Isle of Wirral in England – a cavernous basement and geometrically perfect wooden dome – Holy Other recorded and re-sampled the material that became the foundation of the album. Together with the respected experimental filmmaker Pedro Maia, they will interweave it into a stunning sound-visual image.

Repetitor, a garage rock/post-punk trio from Belgrade, Serbia, are undoubtedly one of the most prominent young bands from the Balkans. Repetitor faithfully carved their signature sound, a blend of heavy rock'n'roll, post-punk and everything in between. They deliver songs of cross-genre ecstasy, packed in a powerful, rocking-your-guts-out interplay of instruments, vocals and the distinctive wall of sound they create together.

A band of five experienced musicians plays traditional Irish, Scottish and Breton tunes, but not always in a completely traditional way! Recently, they have been actively combining the »Celtic« tradition with their own heritage – Slovenian folk music, which creates a unique and recognizable sound.

Ljubljana shoegaze / neo-psychedelic band plays loud and noisy guitar music with a touch of pop. The band consists of Anže Knez, Klemen Tehovnik, Matevž Bitenc and Luka Flegar, and they are supported live by the dreamy visuals of the fifth member Kristina. On the new, long-awaited second album Loose Contacts / Tense Present, with faster rhythms and a more intense sound image, Haiku Garden combines the influences of shoegaze, postpunk, krautrock and noise even more supremely.
